I know that there are qualities in my husband that my late father possessed as well. No their not the same but very similar 😊.
On the flip side, I have heard cases that people were attracted to the “not so great” things about their parent. Is it because that’s what is known? Or are they filling an absent void? Let me know your thoughts.

This was a great post my dear!! I am so thankful that my husband is not like either of my parents. My father has been absent from my life and my mother has been very selfish causing many horrible things to occur in my life. Thankfully my husband his the polar opposite of my parents. I think everyone would say that I am a lot like my mother in law which would explain my husband’s attraction to me. Lord knows that men can me Mama’s boys!

Thank you so much!! Yes, I’m happy you found better. I believe our parents are the first standard we have in life so if it’s not great, people can decide to break a chain and look for different (like you). That’s beautiful!
Yes, my son is a mamas boy so we shall see down the road what he decides lol

Great question. In my case, I steer clear of anyone who reminds me of negative traits I see in my dad. I definitely think parents influence your dating habits, be in positively, negatively and whatever’s in between.

Very good points! I’m happy you’re able to do that because many can’t.
