Wow, Beyonce and Jay Z did see a fan go Apesh__ in ATL!

So last night as I was drifting off to sleep, I heard about a fan running on the stage while Beyonce and JayZ were exiting the stage. This happened at the Atlanta “On the Run Tour II” show and I’m just confused!

First of all, security? What happened? How did this man really make it past you guys, hop on the stage and proceed to follow the stars? Yeah, I’m not sure if they still have jobs today.

Second, this is so scary. People are constantly doing crazy stuff. I don’t know what’s in the water, the food or it must be the drugs but people are truly bonkers. I’m really lost at words but if you haven’t seen the footage, it’s posted below.

R e s p e c t!

First… RIP Aretha Franklin!!

The Queen of Soul has blessed us with so much especially her music. One thing I remember as a child, was her famous song “Respect”. To this day, I find so much pride listening to it and attempting to sing it.

This makes me think of Self Respect and how being respected is a requirement and should be a requirement. You don’t have to like me. You don’t have to agree with my decisions but you will respect me. When getting to know me, you will KNOW and UNDERSTAND that I’m a proud Black Woman, I’m a proud Wife and Mother, I Am a Scholar, A Professional and more.

We need to teach Self Respect not only to ourselves but also to our children. Our children are very vulnerable to the ignorance of Adults. We have to be able to teach them how to represent themselves in an assertive manner. They need to know that their feelings matter and that we do care.

This may not be the answer to all but it’s a start! Self Respect is a Necessity.

Pushing through

I feel like my little world has been spinning ultra fast. Between wifey duties, mommy hood, battling MS, TN flare ups and work, I’ve just been trying to Exhale. Wooooo Saaaaa

lLife was never meant to be fair or easy. This, at times is a hard pill to swallow. I get lost in my thoughts and begin questioning my purpose. Am I going to be alright? Am I giving my best at all times? Do I make my family and ancestors proud? Do I make God proud?

After my semi melt downs, I diffuse some doTerra essential oils, take deep breaths and try to have calmer moments. I keep it moving and pray for strength and for better days.

I hope when this happens, that you can find something that can bring calmness to you. Finding Peace is the Aim for us all. Not easy but Necessary. Peace and love to all.

Trust it- Motivational Monday

  • Hey friends,
  • Often, I find myself thinking about goals or how I “thought” life would be at this point. Do you do the same? How do you get yourself out of the funk if you haven’t achieved those personal goals? For myself, there are times when I would get upset, disappointed and angry. Now, I’m beginning to learn that things do fall in place, RIGHT. ON. TIME.
  • I have to keep my faith. Keep my eyes on the Prize. Trust God. Trust the Process.
  • Things will come to fruition.
  • Friends, please do the same. I know it’s not easy. I know if you don’t see it right then and there that you feel it’s impossible. Keep going, you got this!
  • Thank you for reading,

  • Life has been a whirlwind this past week but I’m continuing to lean and Trust in the Lord. I need His Guidance and Strength. I know things will be and get better. I’m trusting the process. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I hope everyone had a good weekend!

6… but a Life time to go

My high school sweetheart and I celebrate 6 years of marriage today!

He’s my ROCK, my King, my Confidant, my Life Partner, the Father of our Son, My LOVE. The person I can share my FEARS with. The Person I Vowed to Share All of ME with and more.

And I’m thankful that he Loves Me Back.
