It’s another chapter

Hi, great people,
Trust me, I know all about pain, heartache, disappointment and feeling low. The truth is, it can get better. Try your best to not stay in the whole that life has thrown you in. Even if you dig yourself into that whole, you can definitely dig yourself out.
Ways to get out of the hole

  1. Bring positivity into your life.
  2.  Join a support group.
  3. Keep a journal.
  4. Get counseling.
  5. Last but not least, prayer and meditation.

The things listed above can help. I hope and pray that what you are dealing with can be seen as just another chapter not as the final chapter. You got this!!

Love,

It’s much Greater

Hi, great people!

On yesterday, I was in a really funky mood. I wasn’t feeling the best, money was acting funny, and it was chilly lol! However, as the day went on, I was in better spirits. Isn’t that life? Don’t we have those moments when we just feel like everything is going wrong, but yet things turn out right?
Battling Multiple Sclerosis, has truly humbled my spirit. I don’t take any day for granted. I appreciate the fight in me. I realize that God has given this journey to me for a reason. My Purpose will Always be Greater. I do feel that I can Motivate, Inspire and Support anyone who is in need.
The same goes for you. Your strength, the works that you do, your drive, your passion is Greater than the struggle you are dealing with. Things will get better, You will get better!

Age is a state of mind baby

Hey great people,

Happy Monday to you! After having a conversation with the hubby, I’ve been really considering my position in life currently. Like you, I too, have many hopes and ambition. I catch myself saying “32 is around the corner”, constantly.  I’m also thinking, “age is a number” the value of knowledge to gain is more important.

So, “age is a state of mind baby” will be my go to Motto. Lol. As long as we are given another chance at life, we have time to grow and improve.

Take care peeps! Thanks for reading

Talk that talk

Yeah, talk that talk but can you walk that walk?

Can you sit and name people that you know without a doubt are there for you? It’s very easy to tell someone “I’m here if you need anything” or “you can talk to me anytime” because it does sound good. This does not make people bad people, in fact, I do believe it is the “good” in someone to say that.  It just doesn’t always work that way.

I believe we all have been in this place numerous times. We have expectations and can get disappointed. My advice is, cherish those who have been there. The ones that when you are at dark time in your life, and they we able to shine a little light through. This does not mean that they are perfect people, but they’re timing to help is perfect.

Have a great day, great people!

That sunken place

Hi great people!

Today’s blog post was inspired by the movie “Get out”. I won’t go into crazy details about the movie because I don’t want to spoil for viewers who haven’t seen it.

The “Sunken Place” to me goes deeper than our failures, it’s the place that we truly hide our fears, our depression. Many of us present a tough shell but the day someone breaks through to the core, the big mean Monster becomes a small broken child.

Digging deep into our inner selves is necessary! One of my friends who is a blogger created this post about Depression and I truly enjoyed her words because it was raw and spoke truth. Follow her blog : https://shannonnicole.blog/2017/03/04/depression/

If we don’t address our issues at the core, we could forever remain in that Sunken Place. Where we feel trapped, alone, fearful, and unhappy. Nothing is wrong with seeking help. Even if your culture or “family” says otherwise.

I’m here too, to help along the way friends. Let this be the start to your greatness. Thanks for reading!

Surprise Surprise

This weekend, I was suppose to be in Philly visiting friends but ended up at JFK airport on a flight to Tampa.

My support system had been keeping a big secret from me for months until now. A great man named Donovan Smith plays for our favorite football team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I’m friends with his sister and he’s knows about my battle with MS and is a follower of my blog. He felt that I was an inspiration, so much that he flew my husband and myself to Tampa, handled all hotel accomadations, sent welcome videos from some of the players, gave us a tour of the Bucs training facility and field passes for today’s game!

I’m beyond honored and humbled. It’s good to know that I do inspire people. I don’t take this blessing for granted and I will continue to live with the purpose that God has instilled in me. Thanks for reading!
