Pushing Through

Hi friends, happy Tuesday!

Push through…

That’s something I continue to tell myself during challenging times. It’s not easy battling a difficult disease like MS, but I can’t give in to it. I know many that read my blog, are battling other autoimmune diseases, mental health issues, or spiritual brokenness. I also, know that Caregivers have a challenging task when it comes to watching someone they love suffer. WE ARE NOT ALONE! Together, we can lift one another up because Support goes a long way.

This past week, I had my Tysabri treatment and the days after were rough. I had difficulty walking, it was a task to get dressed, I fell twice and I cried because of the pain and weakness in my legs. Even during this time of despair, I promised myself that I wouldn’t give up and I would PUSH through it all at my own pace. I urge you all to do the same. I went to the gym on Sunday and did my best with what I had for that day (I do the spoon theory in my head lol). The amount of support that was given to me was overwhelming and it truly melted my heart. People re-posted my video and tagged me as Inspiration for them to exercise.

Please continue friends. Don’t give up on yourself or the process. Below is the video that I posted and keep in mind that days prior, I was not able to walk far alone. God is good. Thanks for reading!!!

Holding on to anger doesn’t help

When taking the moment to evaluate things, I end up sad which eventually turns into Anger. I know that can be shocking to some. I am a happy person and I do like to see the “brighter” side to situations, however, there are times when I just say WTH???
I consider myself to have a relationship with God and I know worrying is like a slap to the face. Imagine if you have shown someone reasons why they should trust you because you are loyal and you love them, yet they still aren’t sure? Yeah, because I know better I need to do better. All the anger does is add stress which sends you closer to your grave.
So what I’m about to do is go workout since I do have some time on my hands and let go of this frustration. We all seasons that last a bit longer than others and for this season, I have to remain strong and overcome these burdens.
Thanks for reading friends.

Feel good Friday’s: pushing through life’s obstacles

Hi all!

When I think about all that I encounter daily, what gives me the most humbling experience is pushing through challenges. Let’s face it, life is and can be unfair. Challenges will arise in your life and some will make you feel like you hit a brick wall. So what do you do? Keep going!

As a MS Warrior, I have days where walking is a difficult task to do. I’ve cried, been angry and had self-pity MOMENTS but they can’t last long. If we feed those negative vibes and energy to ourselves, it will be our new cognitions. So do what you need: pray, meditate, yoga, watch a comedy, go to the gym to blow off steam, write, call someone, speak to a support group or me *wink*, etc. You need to do whatever it takes for you to transition out of that obstacle.

This is a collage that I made last night and shared to social media.  Could you believe that just three weeks ago I couldn’t use my left leg efficiently and had a limp? Believe it friends, I’m just like you, a fighter. We have to claim victory because we CAN’T lose.

Keep your chin up and head in the game. No worries, things will get better. Keep going.

Enjoy your day and Happy 4th of July weekend!
