Motivational Mondays: Stop hating what you aren’t

  Hey all!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was pleasant.

Now we are off to a new week and as you know today is Motivational Monday’s here on my blog.

I saw this quote on Pinterest and I had to share it! This is so true, we are constantly  beating ourselves up because we aren’t who or where we will believe we should be in life. However, do we ever take the moment to say: I’m thankful for what I do have and where I have the potential to go. I do believe that we should not settle or become stagnant in our lives, we should always show growth and work towards improvements.

Always strive for more, push yourself to take risks. You really don’t know how successful you can become without trying. I’m here for you and if you want to reach out feel free to email me at: nicolecherise723@gmail.com

Thanks for reading!

Daydreaming

Daydreaming,

Deep in my thoughts. Thinking of the master plan…

I want to fly high above the clouds

It would be perfect for hubby and I to conquer the world as King and Queen and set the throne for our little prince

Not a care in the world, no sadness, no pain, no sickness, just pure bliss… Sounds like Heaven to me.

*snaps*

Sigh… It can be and it will be. Need the pen and paper to create the gateway to this successful journey

Motivation Monday’s: using your gifts

Hey all!

Happy Monday to you! You know it’s Motivational Monday’s and today’s message is using your gifts.

This is a lesson that I too, am working towards doing. I believe we all have skills that make us stand out from others and it would be good if expand on it. It could be the start of your own business, a hobby or volunteering your gifts to give back to the community.

I also believe that if even if you want to volunteer your services, it could make you happier. By giving back to others and helping them in need, that could raise your self esteem and you will feel good about yourself.

Think about it, you never know friends.

Ohh baby it’s hot! Fitness goals

The summer is here, so you know what that means… Bring the Heat!

As person with a MS diagnosis, it’s important to keep cool during the high temps. Water is your best friend because it hydrates the body so well.

I have fitness goals and I’m excited that it’s the summer because I can enjoy the pool, walks (especially with baby boy) and gym. I checked the scale today and it read 146.5! I haven’t seen that number since I got in engaged in 2010. I want to be 140 by my 30th birthday on July 23rd and maintain a comfortable weight for myself. I plan to continue to drink water, exercise at least 3 times a week( even at home), yoga and being mindful of what I’m eating.

Do you guys have fitness goals?

Thanks!

The little things

One of my bestfriends came in town to visit my son and I. It was very delightful to spend the day with her. All we did was talk, grab a delicious meal and walked the mall. It may seem like no big deal but it’s the little moments like this that mean so much to me.

I feel like we get so consumed with all of the stressors and chaos in life that something as intimate as a telephone conversation or enjoying quality time gets taken for granted.
We have to do better for our own sanity. It’s only one life and it is short, so try to make each day count!

What does success mean to you?

We often talk out being rich and successful yet many of us haven’t scratched the surface to what that requires. I too, can admit that I want to be successful and do what my heart desires like many. The question becomes, “why aren’t you living your successful life like the next up and coming person?” The answer: Committment. I was listening to a video by Ms. Marshawn Evans of marshawnevans.com and she made perfect sense.

Think about the things in life for you that are going great… More than likely it’s something we all are committed to doing. Now think about that one aspect of your life that isn’t how you expect it should be, it’s very possible that it may be something you are not committed to and fear is apart of that void.

I have so many ideas and I know in my heart and soul what I’m meant to do but the fear of failing always creeps onto my shoulder. However, you know the difference between us and those who are entrepreneurs? Having the fear and then stepping out on faith. When you give it your all aka “Committment”, you are nervous of the outcome but you also realize you can never give up and that’s when you take that leap!

We are all made for greatness and we will get there. What’s your passion? Or what would make you successful?

Believe it… See it

or should you see it first to believe it?

Success, many of us are scared of it. We have talents that possibly can build empires, yet we are scared of failure, scared to get out of our comfort zone. Many have to be convinced that the plan will work if not then they will not believe it. This is the difference between those who make their dreams a reality and those who keep dreaming.

Timing can be wrong, struggles can appear but I believe in you beauties, I believe in me. Let’s do this!

At a stand still

Have you ever felt that your life was at a stand still? As in you don’t know if you are going or coming? I think we all have been there and it can easily become depressing. So question is how do we get out of that funk?

1) Have a vision of what you desire- most of the time when we are all over the place it is because we don’t have our visions planned out. Some believe in making vision boards filled with pictures of what they want to have. If you place it somewhere that you see everyday, it will constantly stay in your line of vision and you will do what it takes to get those goals accomplished.
2) words of affirmation- writing down positive thoughts about yourself or listening to positive self help recordings can also be beneficial and encouraging. If you feed yourself positive cognitions, the better You.
3) surround yourself around positive people- that is as simple as it gets. Try not to associate with people who bring negativity to your space or those who are “Debbie downers”. Hearing encouragement from your inner circle will truly do wonders.
4) prayer and/or mediation- many search to their religious beliefs to pray or practice some sort of calming ritual such as meditating. You are able to clear your mind, let go of stress and Breathe.

These are just few suggestions to getting yourself “out of a funk”. It doesn’t just happen over night so expect to travel the distance and not a quick sprint.

Do you have any other practices that help you get ” out of a funk”?

Patience is a virtue

I know we have heard this phrase plenty of times. Our elders say “don’t rush things”, “your time is coming”, or “you have to wait”. Most of the time it could have been a contest we wanted to win or wanted to do something that we were to young to do. Question is now: What about adulthood?

As adults, we work, have responsibilities and want to live a certain life style. We have an attitude that things need to be quick and in our hands immediately but like our elders said “you have to wait”. Just because you have to wait does to mean u sit on a stoop and count sheep, no you have to continue to work hard to have what ever it is you have lined up.

If it’s a relationship that you want to have, don’t worry even though you haven’t met him or her on the first few dates doesn’t mean he or she doesn’t exist. It can be many factors to why you weren’t aligned to meet yet or if you have met, possibly the opportunity isn’t right at that moment. Just don’t give up, keep bettering yourself and it all will work out.

If it’s career decisions, that too will work out. Rather it’s a business you are starting, that dream job or promotion, it will be your turn soon. You will be successful and it all does come together. Keep trying, don’t give up.

Patience is a Virtue….
