Motivational Monday: Masterpiece

Reflecting….

Why try to be someone else when you are wonderfully made as yourself? We all may be similar in traits, but we are Not the same. From the hairs on our scalps to our fingerprints, we have our own significance.

We have to apply this to our thought process. Many of us are a product if our environment and believe that’s the only way to be. In my opinion that doesn’t have to be the final answer. Just as I mentioned in a previous post, we can create our Own success story. With the proper mindset, tools, and opportunity, anything is possible.

Therefore, Be the Masterpiece that you are. Seek to find your peace, your truth, your awareness, and inner love. You don’t have to be like anyone else, you have a choice, I urge for you to choose YOU.

We fall down

Hi friends, Happy Sunday!

I hope all is well.

People often ask me if I’m in pain when I fall down or how often does it happen. In the beginning, I used to be scared. However, my family and friends have been with me each step of the way so I’m never down for long. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s frustrating to fall or have the sensation of falling but I’m stronger because of it. I’m stronger not only physically but mentally as well.

I’m a proud Warrior and Survivor battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS). With that being said, I know the importance of cognitive thinking which has an influence on our attitude. I’m a woman of grace, courage and wisdom therefore, I won’t give up.

Friends, I know not all who follow me are MS Warriors, many battle other auto-immune diseases, mental illness and much more. This message is for all no matter the circumstance. Things may fall apart in your life, you may feel like things are piling up on top of you but I urge for you to continue. Slowly but surely RISE from your challenges and don’t be ashamed of the falls. You are going to be Ok!

If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here. We are in this journey together so please don’t feel alone. Thank you all for reading!

The weather

As a child, I never quite understood how older people could tell it was going to rain or when they said “It’s cold, I can feel it in my bones”. It’s funny how life happens because now I say similar things!

Since being diagnosed with MS, my body lets me know if the humidity is high, if it will rain, and if the temperature is very cold. I experience leg weakness during this time, numbness in toes and sometimes very painful nerve pain. As I type this post, my left big toe is curing numb and I’m having nerve pain in both legs. It really sucks.

However, the show has to still go on. On days like this, I still have to be wifey, mommy and assistant supervisor at work. I pray to God for strength, as tears may flow down my cheeks and slowly get it together. I know there are others who experience this and more. There are other warriors with physical ailments and mental issues that can be thrown off due to the weather.

When it rains, it pours. I wish, I could cut back some of the storms, but unfortunately that can’t happen and that’s Life. How we choose to manage IS up to us.

We can let the weather take over us and our spirit or we can dance in the rain and view the rainbow that follows.

Our attitude will and always will be Everything

I believe we are heavily connected to the universe. Spiritual, physical, mental and emotional values make us who we are. With knowing that, our attitude means everything for us.

If a person views things only negatively, then more than likely he/she would be surrounded with negative energy. On the contrary, someone with positive energy will attract positivity.

I know life is tough and it’s not fair, however, let’s try to see the silver lining in some of our daily situations. Easier said than done, but at least we can take the first step with a better attititude.

Feel good Friday’s: Help yourself feel good

Hello to the start of the weekend!

The weather is suppose to be beautiful and that automatically puts me in good spirits.

What makes you feel good? Whatever that may be, I suggest incorporating it in your life daily. When we feel good, we tend to gravitate towards positive energy. When we deal with stress and aggravation, all it does is make us sick, gain weight  and it puts us in a sour mood.

So, light a candle, listen to your favorite music,  take a walk, travel etc… Whatever it takes, we need it.
