F.F: each morning…

I feel blessed.

I’m blessed to open my eyes and see my husband and son. With all the challenges that I deal with, the love for my family, always puts a smile on my face.

I hope there is something or someone in your life, that no matter what is going on, you can smile. My family is my back bone, the extra strength that I endure at times when I really need it. They accept me flaws and all.

What about you? Who or what makes you feel good?

Kindness

I always believed in treating others with respect and kindness. I do not know what situation you are coming from or what situation you are going to. Many dress like vogue but are truly vague on the inside. We all have issues that we face everyday. It would be good to experience acts of kindness or even give good gestures(a smile) to others. Just a thought.

Motivational Monday’s: try to make someone smile

Hello beautiful people!

When I saw this post on Pinterest, it made so much sense to me especially after recent events. On yesterday, a friend invited us to the Tampa Bay Buccanneers vs Philadelphia Eagles football game. I was over the moon happy because the Bucs are my husband and I favorite NFL team! Not only was the game a success but my husband, bestfriend, her fiancé and myself were able to laugh and smile.

I was so thankful to be surrounded by wonderful people. Even though there are storms in our lives right now, a little sunshine did peek through on yesterday. All I could think to myself is how others may need someone to make them smile.

If you are able, try doing something that could put a smile on someone’s face. Possibly a good day greeting, treating a stranger to coffee, perhaps just a hello with a smile might do the trick. You never know what your kind gesture could do to someone’s life, you might make a difference.

Motivational Monday’s: positive thoughts

Many ask, “Nik with all that is going on in your life, how is it easy to put a smile on your face? Or for you to remain positive?” I want to say that I am no different from any of you. I have things that I struggle with that I leave to God in prayer, I get sad, mad and want to go off on people like anyone else lol. What I realized is during my studies of psychology, I always believed in CBT (cognitive behavior therapy). I believe that if we replaced our negative thoughts with positive ones, our behaviors could change for the better. Let’s face it, people gravitate to those like them or those that they want to learn from. No one truly wants to associate with people who are constantly performing or thinking negatively. I’m able to smile because I realize that crying over things I can’t change just makes my eyes red and puffy. I smile because regardless of the hardships of life, I do have support, I’m not alone. I truly believe if you start to give yourself daily aspirations, you will feel better from within. So, maybe a personal goal can be to replace your doubts with a positive fact about yourself. I hope this helps friends!
